Efficient and professional team
This is the third lease company I’ve used, but in terms of the ordering process, the communication, the documentation and the speed of delivery I would have to place Select first for customer service. I also secured a great price (for a Hyundai Tucson) as well as having the flexibility of not needing to pay a deposit, which made the deal very attractive. However, I’m fully aware that you can’t truly judge a car leasing company until the end of the contract when the car is being returned, as that is what genuinely separates one leasing company from another. On that basis, my rating is based on the relationship to date. The delivery of the car itself was one area where I have experienced a superior service from another lease company. The company in question would deliver their cars on a transporter so the cars were delivered to my house in immaculate condition with something like 20 miles on the clock. The car I received a few days ago was driven about 100 miles to my home, on a rainy day in December, so it was handed over to me dirty. A relatively minor point.
About the Maxus eTerron 9 pick-up
Launched in 2025, the Maxus eTerron 9 is a fully-electric pick-up and the first vehicle of its type available in the UK with all-wheel drive.
It sits in the Maxus line-up alongside the electric, rear-wheel drive Maxus T90 EV and the traditionally fuelled Maxus T60 MAX.
While there’s a lesser payload (620 kg) compared with traditionally-fuelled rivals, the cargo area is just as large (if not larger) than some of its diesel-powered competitors (at 1,561mm long, 1,500mm wide, and 535mm deep).
All models are also generously equipped as standard, with a kit list that includes a twin screen infotainment system with sat nav, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated seats and heated steering wheel.
You can also add optional extras to your lease, including a power cargo cover.

Electric
The Maxus eTerron 9 is equipped with a 102 kWh battery that provides a range of up to 267 miles between charges as well as power of 442 hp and 450 Nm of torque. Rapid charging speeds reach 115 kW DC and allow a recharge from 20%-80% in 42 minutes. The powertrain is the same across both trim levels.
Which Maxus eTerron 9 pick-up trim level should I lease?
Luxury
The entry-level Luxury trim enjoys all-wheel drive, air-independent suspension, All Terrain Mode, an easy-access tailgate, cargo slide rail for simple loading, a 360-degree camera, twin 12.3-inch screens, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, wireless charging, front and rear parking sensors, heated seats, and heated steering wheel. You also get safety tech like adaptive cruise control and lane change assist.
Premium
The range-topping Premium trim of the Maxus eTerron 9 adds extras like leather upholstery, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and roof rails.
